  • Cobus Visagie played 29 tests for South Africa at at tighthead prop.
  • Schooled at the famous Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch before studying accounting at Stellenbosch University. Played for the Maties and Western Province. Earned the nickname 'drie man', or three man because he played number 3 and always asked questions.
  • Won four Currie Cups with Western Province, the last in 2001 with a home win over The Natal Sharks. He also earned 43 Super 12 caps with The Stormers. Earned 29 caps for his country and was the cornerstone of the Springbok team that reached the 1999 World Cup Semi Final.
  • Left to play for English club Saracens after he did not receive a call up for the 2003 World Cup squad.
  • Was touted as a trump card for National Coach Jake White to use for the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
  • Cobus also coached rugby teams at Merchant Taylors' School, Northwood on a part-time basis, where he has been a huge hit with the players.
