Biddy was often mentioned to me by Mr Markotter as the ideal Springbok; a very good player, an outstanding coach and a warm man who was loved and respected by all.
A little known fact is that Biddy Anderson built his house in Bredasdorp from stone taken from Table Mountain. He appeared to want to bring Table Mountain to Bredasdorp and he did it to the extent that he was able.
He enjoyed horse-racing in later life and remained an outstanding example of what a Springbok should be.
